? What’s the level of this course? Can I take it if I’m a total beginner? And what if I already know a lot about Soft Skills?

We’ve designed the course to be beneficial both to people who are just starting out, and those who are already somewhat familiar with Soft Skills.

The course materials take you through absolutely everything, start to finish, but things like the techniques, cheat sheets, and templates will probably be the most useful stuff, and maybe hearing some of our learning’s throughout the videos will also help you avoid some common mistakes and learn some ‘hacks".

? Can I find all of this information online for free?

In theory you probably could, and we’ve always been advocates for making the Softskills as open as possible, and our aim is to get as many people as possible using Softskills (as long as they do it properly!) however to get all the information in a structured way, and all the toolkit and materials for free, would be really hard and would take hours of piecing bits of information together.

Also, most of the information that’s readily available is on the internet and speaks to a total beginner audience, whereas the material in our course, while suitable for beginners, will give you a deep-dive into Softskills and all the process and techniques around the skills. The toolkit we provide as part of the course is the actual ‘live’ stuff we’re currently usining, and we’ve never made it readily available, and to our knowledge, there isn’t anyone else putting this stuff out there.

? Can I get my company to pay for this?

A lot of companies have training budgets, where they actually have money kept aside for their employees to take courses like this to aid their professional development. If this is the case for you, then great! If your company doesn’t explicitly say they offer it, it’s sometimes worth having a discussion with them to see if it’s a possibility.

From our experience what normally happens here is that you’d have discussion with your HR department or manager, telling them:

– What the course is about (also what Softskills are and why it’s used, if they don’t already know)

– What you’ll personally get from it

– What the company/your team will get from you being part of it

– How you’ll apply the learnings to your everyday work

– What the cost of the course is

– How long it’ll take you to complete it

– An actionable ‘next step’ from the course (i.e. creating a better team at the company)

If you get the ‘green light’ from them then it’ll be totally dependant on the company whether they want you to pay and then send them the receipt for reimbursement, or whether they want to pay on your behalf.

The course is totally self-paced and you can move through the materials at a pace you’re comfortable with. It’s our aim to make you a Softskills Professional as quickly as possible and we don’t want to waste your time with useless exercises and tasks that don’t contribute to you becoming just that, so we estimate that you can complete the course and be ready within 2 weeks, without stress.

? Will I get a certificate?

Yes! You receive an individual certificate by us as a Softskill Professional.

? Are there exercises that I need to complete?

We don’t have ‘formal’ exercises that you need to complete and submit. We believe in not breaking up your learning flow, and we know that kind of exercises often provide obstacles where you need to submit something and wait for a response before you progress – this isn’t what this course is about.
